Hi John, I've written the article on Squidoo as suggested and posted it to Lost Ancestors 'The Conservatory' for your consideration. Feel free to amend or if you want more information please let me know.
nathanvilleuk wrote on Nov 25, '11
Thanks John, that sounds an excellent idea, I’ll have a go at putting something together over the next few weeks as you suggested.

Hi Arthur, Have been admiring your lenses on Squidoo - all superb contributions. Perhaps may be an idea to post a short article for everyone explaining what Squidoo is and how we can benefit and get involved.
PS. Did you see my recent PM - would appreciate a reply with your input.
John.

I have found your Victorian culture - still having notification problems.
nathanvilleuk wrote on Nov 19, '11
Hi Carolyn, yes thanks all keeping well; Busy as usual so not much time for the computer at the moment. Just catching up on replies and as you may have noticed I've also been putting together a series of Victorian Culture articles on Squidoo.

Good to hear from you. Hope you and the family are ok?
nathanvilleuk wrote on Oct 9, '11
Still out of circulation; so busy at work and home at the moment e.g. various DIY projects, gardening, family and social commitments etc.

What little time I get for the computer is spent currently on giving my large collection of ‘Victorian era newspapers’ on my website a facelift – progress so far can be seen at:-

We’re back from our holiday to Arcachon in the Bordeaux region of South France. The weather was great with the first two days being the hottest at 40C and 42C respectively; even at 7pm it was still 36C.

Apart from the beaches the Parc Ornithologique du Teich, Bassin D’Arcachon (Ornithological Park at Teich, Arcachon Basin) was the main attraction (video clip on YouTube):-

Thanks Arthur for popping by my place.

I shall be off line for a few days while I re-decorate our home office e.g. as I’ll be moving the computer out before I start.

We had our TiVo powered by Virgin Media installed yesterday. And one cool machine it is too with 1TB hard drive and its own dedicated 10Mb link e.g. to browse the web as well as conventional channels for TV content such as YouTube; and lots of other cool features.

New photos, last two in DIY Renovations showing new skylight (south facing) in the home office which lets in lots of natural light; and the existing home office window (west facing) with a great view.

Hi, thanks for your questions; I'm doing well, very busy at work and at home at the moment; with spring not far away I shall be even more busy once I can get outside and into the garden, and also start on a number of DIY projects.

FYI - UFIGen is Unusual Fact In Genealogy.

Hi Arthur, how are you? What is UFIgen? Bye now!
john566896 wrote on Feb 13, '11
Welcome to UFIGen, Arthur. Just getting it going, it's where members can contribute and help build it to a useful resource. Hope to see you there.
John.

Thanks Carolyn, I shall investigate further; it will be educational to learn more about the Victorian schooling system.

I asked my mother in law about The British school as she grew up in the area. She said there was a British school in Bedminster but seemed to think that the term applied to any school which wasn't a church school. I have no idea if she is right but it's worth checking out.

Thanks John,

will do, I'll sign the guestbook now. Looks a great group, and such a great idea.

Hi Arthur, Welcome to 'The Conservatory'. Glad to have you with us. 15 members now in just 4 days, so looking good. Look forward to seeing you on the group - do remember to sign the guestbook.
Best wishes John

Hi Robin,
Just re-read your message. No I haven't used the Wiki/Form, but I do visit and use the FamilyPedia site quite often. Although I guess anybody not familiar with FamilyPedia may well find the form very useful.
Arthur
nathanvilleuk wrote on May 12, '10
Hi Robin,
Yes the old blog page was using Wordpress software; I was not very impressed with it so I switched to using blog software on my website from b2evolution which I think is tons better. The new url link is http://nathanville.org.uk/post//blog1.php

Yes, I made some amendments on the Wiki site just before I started on the garden project; and yes I do make visits from time to time either to tweak data and/or for reference.

Gidday, buddy. Just looked through my list of contacts after getting another one. Puzzled at having http://nathanville.org.uk/blogs/ "Not Found".

Have you tried http://family.wikia.com/wiki/Form:Person lately?
nathanvilleuk wrote on May 5, '10
Hi, I've been busy for the last few weeks hard landscaping, dawn to dusk, see latest photos in the ‘Hard landscaping’ photo albums under the photos tab. Now need to wood stain the new fence and finish clearing the garden then back to work for a few more weeks of FAT & SAT testing then our summer holiday, so I'll still be out of circulation for a while yet.
